German consumers appreciate the unique taste and attractive colour of Pink Lady apples. In addition to the heart-shaped Pink Lady sticker, the label Öko-Test gives German consumers confidence in their choice of apple. Pink Lady apples come from sustainable integrated production with IFP (Integrated Fruit Production) certification. The variety needs 700 working hours per hectare of orchard, which is around 20 percent more than for other varieties. Therefore the apples are unique in terms of colour, taste and crunch. Öko-Test magazine rated Pink Lady apples with the mark “good” in their 09/2018 edition. Moreover, the magazine is known for its test procedures and evaluation criteria, which usually go far beyond legally required standards. The Öko-Test label “good” on the Pink Lady apples now gives consumers even more security when choosing their favourite fruit.
